- Finalists 2014 Creative Gold

Yoobee is the largest private design school in New Zealand, with campuses in Christchurch, Auckland and Wellington, turning out 964 graduates last year. 967 students were taught in 2013 on the Wellington campus through certificate, diploma, short course and STAR programmes.

With courses in web development, graphic design, filmmaking and game art (and more), Yoobee really is a Creative Community. As Wellington Campus Academic Manager Nick Webster likes to say:  “we create creatives.”

And Yoobee makes sure of that by working closely with the digital industry so that they’re right on the cutting edge and knowing what’s going on and what’s coming up.  This includes recent collaborations with Weta and the Beijing Film Academy.

As a result Yoobee graduates are not only industry-ready, they’re in high demand. In the past two years the Wellington campus has managed to place over 500 graduates into the creative industries in this region alone.

There’s no one else in New Zealand offering the depth and breadth in vocational training that Yoobee does; no one else pays as much attention to industry trends and adjusts their courses accordingly; and very few training facilities get their graduates into as many great jobs – a recent study showed Yoobee graduates earn more than the national average for Creative Arts and IT.
