Stilletto Studio is all about cake! They’re a bespoke cakery in Johnsonville which has grown from doing small cakes for friends to gravity-defying, awe-inspiring, delicious cakes, cupcakes and sweets in just 3 years.
Stiletto Studio is run by Becs Lake, still the company’s only full-time employee. “I had a baking blog that became a Facebook Page that turned into a full-time business,” she says. “When Stiletto Studio started I thought having zero formal training in the industry was a negative, but it’s actually part of what makes us unique. It means I can think outside of the box to deliver all kinds of amazing, delicious cakes for all occasions.”
Stiletto Studio makes cakes for all occasions and for all people – from small parties to big events, like TradeMe’s ‘Sweet 16th’ birthday cake that fed 400, a cake to celebrate JetStar’s first official Wellington - Gold Coast flight, and a collaboration with Peter Jackson that saw Becs create a 3D replica of Gladriel from the Lord of the Rings franchise out of cake!
