- Finalist 2014 ACC Workplace Safety Award
If you want to swing through the trees like Tarzan without risking life or limb, you can – thanks to Jean Caillabet and his Adrenalin Forest Parks.
The uniquely designed courses hidden away near Porirua (and now in Christchurch and Tauranga) offer folks the chance to push themselves – or throw themselves or swing themselves – through an incredible array of obstacles to any comfort level they desire, and while it may feel risky, it most definitely isn’t. As 70,000 visitors discovered across the 3 parks in 2013
Adrenalin Forest subjects itself to regular independent audits – it’s the most voluntarily audited adventure company in New Zealand - and its premises are inspected annually by independent arborists and engineers to make sure the trees themselves and the gear are all in top notch condition.
Speaking of gear, the new Smart Belay Client Safety System makes it impossible for anyone to accidentally disconnect themselves from any of the courses. And staff is trained to the nth degree, undergoing regular checks to make sure there are no surprises for anyone.
As a result, accidents and injuries at Adrenalin Forest have been reduced to almost nil and industry groups like Outdoors NZ and the Tourism Industry Association say the company is leading the way in maintaining best practice and standards.
