The 2023 Gold Awards winners were announced at the Embassy Theatre on Wednesday 23rd August with over 600 people in attendance, including Wellington Central MP Grant Robertson who announced the overall supreme sward winner - Upper Hutt's world class  sports facility NZ Campus of Sport and Innovation.

The Gold Awards were also celebrating their 25th year as the Wellington Region’s Premier Business Awards, having started in 1999, with over 1,200 Wellington businesses having participated as Finalists over these past 25 years.

“The Awards this year attracted record entries across the 11 Categories with 52 organisations represented as finalists in 2023 and all were recognised, acknowledged and celebrated at the Awards night, held at the Iconic Embassy Theatre in Wellington City” said John Dow, the Gold Awards Director......

“The business community has certainly had a lot of challenges over the past few years, with the COVID pandemic, loss of Tourists and International students, a general recession, significant cost increases, and inflation running high creating a very hostile environment for many businesses.”
